POSITION DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT: Safety
POSITION: Site Safety Manager
REPORTS TO: Safety Director

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under supervision of Corporate Safety Director and Project Site Supervision, the Site Safety Manager will provide leadership and implementation of the company's safety program at assigned project sites in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local laws and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Safety Administration
• Conducts all on-site incident investigations and root-cause analysis, track and report trends and lessons learned, recommend and implement any corrective actions and improvements
• Perform crew site audits and implement corrective actions.
• Meet with and gain knowledge of all customer requirements related to safety reporting and performance.
Site Management
• Conduct project and crew Safety Audits; track trends and implement corrective actions
• Implement Customer Required Safety Programs and Training
• Ensure Pre-Task Planning Execution, Track and Audit crew execution, implement corrective actions, and revise program as necessary
• Meet with and gain knowledge of all customer requirements related to safety reporting and performance; create, review and implement site specific programs with the Project Management team
• Implement training and certifications as required for employees
• Provide technical assistance to office and field operations related to Sachs policies, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Implement site specific Safety Orientation.
• Coordinate Training Programs by outside vendors
• Publish and coordinate Weekly Tool Box Talks and Safety Stand Downs
Other duties as required to mitigate workplace injuries and accidents as required by customers and/or management
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5+ years of applicable experience
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of all Federal, State, and Local laws, customer requirements, and corporate culture regarding workplace safety
• Proven ability to work independently with a high degree of organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction industry, relevant work experience required
• OSHA 500 (502) Certification
• Willingness to travel in support of the site specific needs and staffing.
• Ability to Implement procedures in concert with NFPA 70E
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Understanding of One Call Laws and Practices in Sachs Electric Operating Areas
