POSITION DESCRIPTION

 DEPARTMENT: HR

POSITION: OD/HR Generalist

REPORTS TO:  Director of Human Resources

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No formal supervisory responsibility; will have responsibility for providing feedback to members of the HR Team and Office Services staff as it relates to development activities.

 

 SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of HR the OD/HR Generalist is responsible for the development, delivery and management of training and development solutions across the Sachs organization.  The OD/HR Generalist will research and engage both internal and external resources to drive learning initiatives.  The OD/HR Generalist requires strong communication skills plus the ability to influence in order to convey complex issues surrounding learning and development solutions and projects.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Organizational Development:

  • Lead implementation of strategic Talent & Culture Initiative activities across the organization
  • Redefine and modernize organizational Talent Development and Performance Management Systems
  • Design/Develop Learning Initiatives for all employee populations and identify internal/external training solutions

 

Human Resources Department:

  • Assist in the development of processes related to field/office employee lifecycle.
  • Lead implementation and education of HR Technology
  • Support employee lifecycle management where necessary
  • Backup members of HR Team

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND/COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of Talent/Organizational Development experience with proven success making transformational cultural changes within an organization
  • Software implementation experience
  • Superior client service skills, including the ability to meet challenging client requirements and deadlines with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Project Management ability
  • Analytical and research ability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully contribute to the strategic direction of the company through innovation and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and BlueBeam required)
  • Ability to effectively utilize and implement technology and a commitment to learn in the technology environment
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics

 WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations
  • Travel for this position is minimal.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to speak English to communicate with clients, employees, vendors, etc
