DEPARTMENT: Risk Management/Contract Services

POSITION: Risk Management Coordinator

REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Risk Management/Contract Services

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No formal supervisory responsibility


Under the direction of the Vice President of Risk Management/Contract Services the Risk Management Coordinator assists in daily operations of the Risk Management and Insurance function and support to the major projects pre-qualifications.


Risk Management/Insurance:

  • Coordinate and collect information for insurance renewals
  • Obtain certificates of insurance for clients, per contract requirements
  • Perform administrative duties associated with Controlled Insurance Program enrollments, payroll reporting, close out and coordinate enrollment of subcontractors
  • Review subcontractor's certificates of insurance for compliance
  • Handle documentation associated with worker's compensation claims
  • Provide support to the Vice President of Risk Management/Contract Services as necessary
  • Assist with administration of surety program

Major Projects Pre-Qualifications:

  • Maintain up-to-date pertinent information used to populate national projects pre-qualifications
  • Complete pre-qualifications for national major projects as requested
  • Create and maintain up-to-date resume information for key personnel to be used in pre-qualifications
  • Interact with Senior Vice presidents/National Senior Project managers and Business Development professionals to understand project components

Department/Organizational Support:

  • Provide backup for Contract Services functions


  • Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in Risk Management
  • Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast pace environment
  • Evident practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint required)


  • The typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations
  • Travel for this position is minimal.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, extended standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching, ability to use hands
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to speak English to communicate with clients, employees, vendors, etc
