POSITION: Project Executive

FLSA: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Sr. Vice President

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Direct P&L responsibility for Project Managers in the St. Louis Regional group and associated project staff including field operations.


The Group Manager has overall operational, administrative, financial, technical, and business development responsibilities for projects and accounts within their team of all sizes, types, and delivery methods in the St. Louis Regional Group.  The Group Manager will have overall bottom line responsibility for profit and loss, and consequently carry the authority appropriately.  Group Managers have a team of Project Managers, Sr. Project Managers, and Project Engineers within their group.


  • Oversee total construction and design effort (if applicable) to ensure project(s) is constructed in accordance with design, National Electric Code, budget, and schedule. 
  • Manage group P&L for successful outcome.
  • Develop and train Project Engineers and Project Managers in their career development.
  • Identify and manage company and project risk proactively.
  • Serve as a Project Executive for communication between both internal and external members on the project including, but not limited to: General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, General Foremen and union officials.
  • Authorize and/or approve all project staff transactions including choice of superintendent, general foremen, foremen, and staff performance.
  • Provide direction to planning, scheduling and engineering functions within the group.
  • Participate with internal teams to estimate projects, review estimates, and write bid proposals.
  • Review and approve large purchase requisitions, subcontracts, payment approvals, invoicing, and change order requests for projects within the group.
  • Participate in company improvement initiatives.
  • Assists in the implementation/interpretation of safety programs and ensures that all OSHA requirements, Sachs and customer's requirements are met. 



  • Ensure that all company client and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and understood by team(s).
  • Ensure the maintenance of all official project documentation and logs on projects within the group.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships; solicit feedback to ensure customer satisfaction, actively participate in industry organizations and events.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of labor agreements and standards specific to projects within the group.
  • Perform contract review and successfully negotiate favorable contract terms where appropriate.
  • Thoroughly review monthly project forecast and labor progress reports to proactively identify and correct project issues within the group. 
  • Actively recruit and participate in recruiting efforts.
  • Perform additional assignments as needed.



  • Minimum of 10 years experience as the Lead Sr. Project Manager/Project Executive for an individual project or multiple projects with a value of at least $10M/annually in diverse areas (commercial, industrial, institutional, etc.) and delivery methods (lump sum, GMP, Design/Build, etc.) of electrical construction.  
  • BS in Electrical Engineering/ related field of study or equivalent in job experience.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Superior problem solving skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge and knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail to ensure maximum quality of work throughout projects managed within the group.
  • Experience with Accubid a plus.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus.
